## Description

## What is it?
A steroid ready to use ESP32 board for French national metering system called "Téléinfo". This convert data issued from National Energy provider to serial interface and then, let the user doing whatever he likes with the data, such as pushing into Database, Emoncms, MQTT, HTTP, ...

Since it is using powerfull ESP32 core, it is possible to do Berry scripting with Tasmota, of course you can make your own firmware for any Teleinfo project using Arduino IDE, VSCode or even MicroPython since this board use same CPU than Adafruit [QT-PY-ESP32-PICO](https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-qt-py-esp32-pico)

** Powering Note **

Due to the powerfull realtime features, this product need to be powered, even with USB-C (Easiest) or 5V soldered on dedicated pads on the PCB

**May 2026 Update**

All boards are now flashed with Nicolas's awesome [firmware](https://github.com/NicolasBernaerts/tasmota/blob/master/teleinfo/README.md) and already configured as board type Denky D4 for Tasmota.
You just need to setup Wifi then Teleinfo mode in configuration (Historique or Standard), setup features you need (MQTT, Home Assistant, Domoticz, ...) and you're good to go.

**New in V1.3x**

- Added 5V / GND bottom pads to solder external 5V Power if needed
- Added bottom pad to cut trace and disable TIC Led

**V1.3**

- Changed some silk for better reading

**V1.2**

- Added little trimmer to adjust TIC signal sensitivity if needed
- Exposed 3 GPIOs + 3V3/GND pads on bottom to extends capabilities
- Optimized matching antenna circuit for better performance
- QWIIC cable included
- Already Flashed with Tasmota

**V1.1**

- Changed CPU now use ESP32-PICO-V3-02 with 8Mb Flash and 2Mb PSRAM
- Changed USB/SERIAL chip to CH9102 due to shortage
- Added footprint for U-FL connector for external antenna
- Added visual small blue LED on Teleinfo receive signal
- Removed headers pins
- Reduced RGB LED size using SK6805-1515
- All components on same side (nothing on bottom side)

## Why did you make it?
Following lot of users demands that wanted a complete working board after reading Teleinfo article on my blog.

## What makes it special?
It's tiny, simple and so powerfull, works with standard and historique mode on Linky (and historique on old smart meter)

## What's included ?

One complete and assembled board with teleinfo plug connector:

- Steroid ESP32 using ESP32-PICO-V3-02 chip with 8Mb Flash and 2Mb PSRAM
- Serial to USB onboard converter
- Teleinfo Reader interface
- RGB Led
- USB-C Connector
- QWIIC/STEMMA I2C connector to be able to add sensors, Oled, lot of things.
- QWIIC Interface 10cm cable
- Visual small blue LED on Teleinfo receive signal

Is is compatible with new Linky metering system (Standard and Historique)

### Firmware

This board comes already flashed with Tasmota Teleinfo firmware working as an WiFi Access point for easy configuration.

Support Tasmota AutoConfig feature

### Enclosure

** Enclosure is not part of the product, you need to print it by your own **
You can 3D print a awesome [enclosure](https://community.ch2i.eu/topic/1397/denky-d4-et-esphome/61) made by [saveman71](https://www.printables.com/fr/@AntoineBolvy_397060), thanks to him, original files on [printables](https://www.printables.com/fr/model/580452-denky-d4-case/files) really great.

## Shipping policy

Due to import complexity, extented administrative task, French postal service suspended USA from delivery zone for goods, so no delivery to USA will be done.
"Lettre Verte", "Lettre Suivie", "Service Plus" shipments are not insured. The postal service sometimes loses mail—this is very rare, but it does happen. No claims can be made if this occurs. I cannot be held responsible for postal service errors. If you do not wish to take any risk, please choose registered mail.
Some letters may take up to 3 weeks to arrive. This is also rare but has happened before, so there is no need to worry if delivery occasionally takes longer.
