## Plug-and-Play display streaming kit with 720x720 capacitive touch display

This is a ready-matched Gitzian display kit for builders who want the decoder kit together with a supported 720x720 touch display.

The kit includes the Gitzian decoder, Raspberry Pi HAT, display bridge, and the TL040HDS30CT1-B1620A 720x720 capacitive touch display. The decoder ships configured for the included display.

The Gitzian hardware ecosystem is flexible: you can also use the decoder with other supported display targets by flashing the matching firmware.

## What is Gitzian?

Gitzian is a DIY/hackable display streaming system for small displays.

The host renders the image, the Raspberry Pi handles the stream, and the Gitzian decoder drives the display.

For Raspberry Pi streaming setups, the Raspberry Pi acts as the display-side client and connects to the Gitzian hardware through the included HAT. The display is driven by the Gitzian decoder pipeline.

Use it for compact remote desktops, embedded UI experiments, dashboards, control panels, small game-display experiments, or custom hardware projects.

## Firmware and software

This display kit ships with decoder firmware configured for the included TL040HDS30CT1-B1620A display.

For other supported display targets, choose the matching firmware from [Gitzian Downloads](https://downloads.gitzian.com) and flash it with a Raspberry Pi. The flashing process is documented in the HOW-TO guide at [https://gitzian.com](https://gitzian.com).

The Gitzian software is available from the same downloads area and is free to use for the normal setup.

- Linux / KDE Plasma / Wayland to Raspberry Pi client
- Raspberry Pi 5 with KDE Plasma as a local setup

Recommended Raspberry Pi client models: Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, Raspberry Pi 2, Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 5.

## Software and design files

The normal Gitzian software is free and will remain free.

Some project parts are open source. The Raspberry Pi HAT and display bridge KiCad files are provided as reference designs for builders who want to modify or replace parts of the setup.
