What is it?
This is a pre-assembled board meant to be used as a replacement for faulty '054544' audio module used on the following Konami arcade PCBs :
- X-Men
- Xexex
Each board come assembled in all its parts except for the custom ASIC '054321' and the 'AD1868R' DAC (see pictures), you have to take them from original module and install them yourself.AGAIN, THE '054321' ASIC AND THE 'AD1868R' DAC ARE NOT INCLUDED! A pair of 1.778mm female round machined headers will be included to make the installation on arcade PCB easier.
Why did you make it?
I did it because the original part breaks very easily, making expensive and valuable arcade PCBs useless.
What makes it special?
The replacement has exactly the same functionality of the original part which is known to be prone to failure.
