What is it?
This is a pre-assembled board meant to be used as a replacement for faulty '054986A' audio module used on the following Konami arcade PCBs :
- Lethal Enforcers
- G.I. Joe
- Metamorphic Force
- Run & Gun
- Premiere Soccer
- Bucky O' Hare
- Violent Storm
- Monster Maulers
- Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa
- Martial Champion
- Gaiapolis
- Mystic Warriors
Each board come assembled in all its parts except for the custom ASIC '054321', you have to take it from original module and install it by yourself.AGAIN, THE '054321' ASIC IS NOT INCLUDED! A pair of 1.778mm female round machined headers will be included to make the installation on arcade PCB easier.
Why did you make it?
I did it because the original part breaks very easily, making expensive and valuable arcade PCBs useless. What makes it special?
The replacement has exactly the same functionality of the original part which is known to be prone to failure.
