What is it?

ANAVI Arrows is a small, fully programmable, mechanical keyboard. The device offers a single rotary encoder with a clickable switch, a RGB LED, and four Gateron red, linear, non-clicky mechanical switches with transparent keycaps and yellow LED back-lighting. You can easily turn the rotary encoder left or right, and you also can click it, which is all fully programmable!

ANAVI Arrows uses a black, gold-plated high-quality printed circuit board and features Seeed XIAO with Raspberry Pi RP2040 and yellow back-lighting under each key. It also has four WS2812B LEDs on the underside for under-lighting effects. An I²C slot allows for adding peripherals, such as the included mini OLED yellow-blue display.

Out of the box, the keyboard is provided with the open source KMK firmware, written in CircuitPython. ANAVI Arrows is also compatible with the open source QMK firmware.

Why did you make it?

ANAVI Arrows is suitable for many different use cases: gaming, video or audio editing, programming, entertainment broadcasting, etc. It is a great companion to a 60% mechanical keyboard, enhancing efficiency for targeted tasks. Getting started is straight-forward. Thanks to the hot-swappable sockets no soldering is required! Just connect the device to your Windows, MacOS, or GNU/Linux computer with a USB Type-C cable and you are ready to go.

What makes it special?

ANAVI Arrows is an entirely open source project combining open source hardware with free and open source software. The printed circuit board was designed using KiCad. The Open Source Hardware Association Certification is BG000094.
