The Bang & Olufsen Beogram CDX, CDX2 and CD3300 CD players are likely to have issues with the CD player lid not being able to open. Often the main cause of this problem is a broken gear for the lid mechanism. The gear is often damaged and teeth worn off, resulting in a lid that cannot open or close automatically.

Compatibility

This kit contains a self designed, 3D printed replacement gear and a suitable rubber belt kit suitable for Bang & Olufsen CD player Beogram CD X CDX CDX 2 CD 3300 (lid assy.). The part is naturally NOT an original spare part and motor, lid assy and other parts etc. is NOT included.

Gear replaces original B&O spare part no 2722032, 2732078. Gear is also compatible with plastic gear used in Grundig CD7550, PHILIPS CD104 CD304 and MARANTZ CD-34 CD players.

Installation

Replacing the gear and belt is relatively straightforward, although requires complete disassembly of the CD player. Please do NOT buy, if you are not confident in replacing this gear yourself! A detailed installation guide is provided with each gear purchase

The gear fits the above CD players without modification. It is suggested to lubricate the gear when installing it. (Only use grease suitable for plastic, eg. SuperLube or similar).
