Version 2 has had a slight front-panel redesign since v1.2, and the PCB is now compatible with the forthcoming quickswap case from kyaa.

The Core series are small, reprogrammable devices, based around a particularly limited microprocessor (as used by Bastl in their Kastle) having a mere 8kB of code space and 512 bytes of RAM! We find that with these limitations, some interesting algorithms can still be programmed and new and interesting sound generators and modulators can be constructed.

Like the Core1.D, this edition is actually programmed using the audio input, a distinct throwback to my 1980s childhood of loading computer games from cassette!

We are developing an integration package so that anyone can program it using the Arduino development environment, and we will also be making some firmwares available as audio files (probably using bandcamp) for any non-programmers…

• 4 controls, three of which are also available as CV inputs.
• Two outputs - one PWM and one digital;
• Each output has two variations - DC-coupled (for CV duties) and AC-coupled (for audio), although of course how you use them is completely up to you!
