I designed this Eurorack module as a low-profile substitute for a joystick. Full size joysticks use too many HPs and stick out, while mini joysticks are too fiddly.

This 4hp module is basically 2 attenuverters normalled to your choice of +5v to -5v or +10v to -10v, depending on which part you select. Two toggle switches invert the voltage from positive to negative.

You can think of each slider as one axis of a 2-axis controller. This works very well for things like frequency modulation, where the frequencies of two VCOs are controlled separately. Moving the sliders together has the same effect as moving a joystick from one corner to its diagonal opposite. By flipping the invert switch you can do the same from the other 2 corners. This way you can quickly scrub through a huge variety of crazy timbres! It's a ton of fun!

If you insert a signal at the input, the normalled voltage is disconnected, and the slider scales the incoming signal. Finally, you also have a mix input where you can mix another audio or CV source. This means that the module can also be used as a CV or audio mixer in pinch. Of course it works great for offsetting, scaling, inverting, or whatever else you would use an attenuverter for.

The module is very easy to build, with all the SMD soldering done at the fabricator. You just need to solder the jacks, sliders, 2 through hole capacitors, a header, and one TO-92 part. This makes the module very simple and also low-cost (my build only cost about 12 euros using local parts suppliers). The panel is black matte FR4. The sliders have a 20mm travel.

Delivery includes the pcb and panel, not the built module.

Be forewarned! This is a prototype, so the manufacturing is not up to commercial modules standard, but it is still quite nice for DIY. I'll answer any questions as best I can but I make no guarantees! Again, it's not a finished module, just the panel and PCB.
