Core decoder hardware for Gitzian display streaming setups
This is the Gitzian decoder board for builders who already have the matching Gitzian Raspberry Pi HAT, display bridge, and supported display hardware.
Use it as a replacement part, spare decoder, or as the core decoder board for your own Gitzian-compatible hardware setup.

What is Gitzian?
Gitzian is a DIY/hackable display streaming system for small displays.
The host renders the image, the Raspberry Pi handles the stream, and the Gitzian decoder drives the display.
For Raspberry Pi streaming setups, the Raspberry Pi acts as the display-side client and connects to the Gitzian hardware through the HAT. The display is driven by the Gitzian decoder pipeline.
Use it for compact remote desktops, embedded UI experiments, dashboards, control panels, small game-display experiments, or custom hardware projects.

Firmware and software
The decoder uses user-selectable display firmware.
Choose the firmware for your supported display from Gitzian Downloads and flash it with a Raspberry Pi. The flashing process is documented in the HOW-TO guide at https://gitzian.com.
The Gitzian software is available from the same downloads area and is free to use for the normal setup.

Software and design files
The normal Gitzian software is free and will remain free.
Some project parts are open source. The Raspberry Pi HAT and display bridge KiCad files are provided as reference designs for builders who want to modify or replace parts of the setup.
