H32 was designed with easy of use and development/deployment as well as ultra low power consumption in mind. To achieve the first goal the PCB is desgined to fit a typical low cost waterproof 100x100 electrical junction box, has spring terminals to make connections super easy and stable
To achieve the second goal H32 is designed to SHUT DOWN for indefinite amount of time and wake up either on a programmable RTC alert OR by any active low signal (ie, sensors, switches, relays, reed relays etc).
**While shut down its power consumption does not exceed 1uA in rev2 boards.
H32 rev2 has onboard Humidity & Temperature sensor (AHT10) & RTC (PCF85063) Can also get with a Ra-01/Ra-01H LoRa module from AiThinker
During operation ESP32 can measure battery voltage through a voltage divider powered by the battery through a load switch to reduce power consumption. Also, LoRa power is enabled on demand by the ESP32 enabling a separate LDO.
Power is provided externally from any DC source from 8-35V and works very well with 12V10W solar panels. If more battery capacity is needed, additional Li-Ion batteries can be connected in parallel with the 18650 onboard
