This board allows charging six 1S, three 2S or two 3S LiPo batteries at the same time using a standard 6S balance charger.

This is not a parallel charging board though - no current flows between the cells of the various batteries when they are plugged in, making this a lot safer to use.

Is this safe?

Yes, even if the individual batteries or cells are not matched closely this is perfectly safe as long as you keep the following in mind:

• only charge identical batteries together
• only use balance chargers with 6S balance lead
• only use balanced charging modes (i.e. not fast-charge)
• never plug batteries into the different sections of the board (1S/2S/3S) at the same time
• set the charge current as for a single battery, not multiplied by the number of batteries you're charging
• follow regular LiPo charging safety protocol and be aware that LiPo batteries are inherently dangerous and require careful handling

How does this work?

The batteries are put in series and show up as one large 6S battery to the charger. The charger uses the balance leads to check the cell balance across all batteries and charge them to an equal level.

For example three 2S 450mAh packs show up as a single 6S 450mAh pack.

What batteries are supported?

The 3S and 2S sections use XT30 connectors and standard JST-XH balance plugs.

The 1S section has footprints for BT2.0 connectors but is left unpopulated, if you use different connector you can solder it on as long as it close enough to fit the 2mm hole pattern of the BT2.0 connectors.

What chargers are supported?

The charger needs to be able to do balance charging for 6S LiPo packs using an XT60 plug and the standard 7-pin balance connector. The 7-pin balance cable is included.

Parcels are shipped using UPS International Standard (tracked) shipments. For destinations outside the EU, you may be charged for import tax and duty.
