What is it?

The KS-013 is an array comprised of 8 high current, power MOSFET devices. The device contains open-drain outputs suitable for interfacing low-level MCU pins to high power loads such as lamps, LED strips.

Why did I make it?

In designs that use the ULN2804, I often found the current capacity of the ULN was not enough. I made this part to allow a drop-in replacement (for driving non-inductive loads since it has no back-EMF diodes) and increase the sink current capability.

Since this part can sink more current than the standard ULN, I added extra ground pins to sink the current back to the source.
