OMGUSB is the USB-C extension board for the OMGS3, designed with matching 1.27mm pitch pads (top and bottom) that can be used in various ways to connect it to an OMGS3 board.

It also has small pin holes in the pads to allow soldering of a set of tiny custom made pogo pins that will allow you to flash an OMGS3 board without physically soldering the two boards together.

The pogo pins are an optional accessory and require hand soldering to the OMGUSB.

What about flashing other boards?

Of course! OMGUSB can also be connected to any other ESP32 development board that exposes D+/D-, RESET and IO0. It doesn't include a SerialUART chip as that is not required for native USB flashing, so it can't connect to the TX/RX pins of a board.

Why does it have a 3V3 input pin and LED?

This allows you to see the 3V3 regulator on the OMGS3 boards is getting power and working correctly. If you are planning to use OMGUSB to flash other boards, you can leave the 3V3 IN pin disconnected.

You can also leave the IO0 and Reset pins disconnected if you already have a way to trigger those on your board.
