Oops! All Servos! is an expansion board for Seeed Studio XIAO and Adafruit QT Py microcontrollers, with JR-style servo headers on all 11 GPIO pins. Each pin also has a bidirectional 3.3 v to 5 v level shifter, and the board has external power input including a current measurement point.
Please note, your order will include one (1) assembled Oops! All Servos! board. You'll need to provide your own XIAO or QT Py board. FreeCAD and STL files are available to print your own case.
When you're building mechatronics, such as robot arms or 3D printers, it's easy to get to a point where "just one more" servo or sensor would help you complete your project. With 11 GPIOs, all with JR-style servo connectors, running out of pins should be a thing of the past!
Level shifters on every GPIO pin mean you can interact with 5v level devices such as servo-motors and NeoPixels safely and with performance. Making these level shifters bidirectional allows for two-way communication with other 5 v microcontrollers and TTL UARTs. Want to add extra sensors to your mechatronics project? Use a QT Py with your Oops! All Servos! and you can hook up a Qwiic/STEMMA QT chain of compatible I2C devices.
If you do fully load your project with servos, it's pretty likely you'll quickly hit the current limits from your microcontroller's supply and regulator. External power supply pads let you push as many amps as you need through your designs. A current measurement header lets you slip an ammeter in line to keep an eye on your power consumption.
This is a certified Open Source Hardware project and, while it is at the limit of hand-soldering, it is sized to fit on the sub-£100 hot plates commonly available on the market.
