With the Continuous Hose Converstion Kit you can convert OpenValve from an irrigation device to foodsafe dispensing device.

Instead of the 1/2 inch BSPP threads, you can route a continous silicone hose directly through OpenValve, which mean nothing else but the silicone hose will ever touching the medium you want to transport, making it suitable for food safe dispensing applications.

Warning: Be aware that with the converstion OpenValve will loose its ability to withstand pressures above 0.5bar. Furthermore OpenValve will not be rainproof any more, since the water can creep in along the silicone hose that is being routed through it.

Technical Data of the silicone hose:

Platinum-cured silicone tubing, 60° Shore, translucent

Physiologically safe, suitable for medical and technical applications, and free of plasticizers.

Temperature range: -60°C to +200°C, temporarily up to +260°C.

After initial disinfection, the tubing complies with the following approvals and standards:

FDA § 177.2600 EC 1935/2004 USP Class VI BfR Recommendation XV Drinking water standards KTW / DVGW 270 Listed according to UL 94 HB EU Directive 2011/65 (RoHS compliant) EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE)

It is therefore suitable for use in the food, drinking water, and pharmaceutical industries.

The silicone tubing is manufactured in accordance with DIN ISO 3302-1 E2 and is fully synthetic, and therefore:

Free from animal-derived components (ADI/TSE/BSE-free) Latex-free Phthalate-free Free from conflict materials (tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), gold (Au))

Hose Properties:

• High heat resistance up to 250°C ( Which does not mean you should route hot liquids through OpenValve!!!)
• Suitable for use in medical, technical, drinking water, food, and pharmaceutical applications
• Suitable for steam sterilization up to +134°C
• Very good weather resistance (ozone / UV light)
• Resistant to moisture and oxidation
