Introducing the Flicker-Resistant LED Light for Prusa printers - the ultimate upgrade to enhance your 3D printing experience! This high-quality LED light is thoughtfully designed to give a clear view of the printer and the first layer.
Built on an aluminum PCB, this LED light ensures efficient heat dissipation for optimal performance and longevity. It boasts an array of additional features, including an ON/OFF switch and brightness adjustment, allowing you to customize the lighting to your exact preferences.
To deliver the perfect lighting experience, the LED light is mounted within an aluminum frame with a milky cover. This combination creates a gentle diffusion of light, evenly illuminating your print bed and enhancing visibility during the printing process.
Not only does this LED light provide excellent functionality, but it also excels in efficiency. With a power consumption of at most around 1W, you can enjoy bright, reliable illumination without worrying about excessive energy usage on the PSU.
The Flicker-Resistant LED Light is specifically designed for Prusa printers, ensuring a seamless integration with your setup. Its compatibility with the Silent Driver Upgrade Board allows for easy plug-and-play installation, it can also be used standalone.
Please note that currently, the Flicker-Resistant LED Light only supports Prusa MK2/2.5/S due to its inability to handle 24V. However, in the near future, an update will be released to support the newer Prusa models, including MK3 and MK4.
I understand the importance of optimal lighting conditions in a 3D printing workspace. That's why I created the Flicker-Resistant LED Light for Prusa printers. In my own workspace, I faced challenges with poor lighting, which made it difficult to accurately inspect my prints, especially when assessing the quality of the first layer.
I experimented with various solutions, including the popular light bar mounted on top of the frame. However, I still encountered issues with visibility, particularly when trying to observe the nozzle closely. Additionally, if the light bar was connected to the printer's PSU, flickering became a significant problem during the heating of the print bed. Determined to find a better solution, I developed this LED light to address these issues and provide a superior lighting experience for Prusa printers.
You will need to print the holder and its corresponding strain relief which you can find on Printables. If you have the upgrade board then you can simply plug it in. However, if you dont have the upgrade board you will need to solder a cable to it and either connect it to the PSU or somewhere on the Rambo board.
