What is it?

The LGM Ray Gun is a module in the AE Modular format. It should be used in conjunction with the included LED strip to enhance your music with wonderful light shows. There are 4 trigger inputs available, triggers 1-3 will produce a different light effect depending on the current mode and the 4th will switch to the next mode. There are 8 modes available in the original firmware. A button is also provided for each trigger input for manual triggering. There is also a power switch provided on the module. As the digital chip produces a small amount of noise, it can be handy to disconnect the chip completely for times when the module isn't in use or while recording audio.

What's included?

This kit includes everything you need to get started:

  • The Ray Gun module
  • An LED strip
  • A 50cm mono 3.5mm cable for connecting the module to the LED strip
  • Optional 5v 2A power supply for the LED strip (+$15.00)

The optional power supply includes interchangeable mains connectors and is compatible with the standard connections of the UK, EU, US and Australia. See the photo to be sure of compatibility within your location.

If you are intending to use your own power supply then ensure that it is 5v, at least 2A and center positive. An incorrect power supply could result in damage to the module!

How do I set it up?

After installing the module in your AE Modular case, connect the power supply to the LED strip and plug it into the wall outlet. Then connect the module to the LED strip via the 3.5mm cable and make sure the module power switch is "on".
