This is a Z80 memory card for Z50Bus. It contains 128k bytes of FLASH memory and 128k bytes of random access memory (RAM). Just add a backplane, a Z80 CPU card, a serial card, and a power/reset card to get started.
The FLASH memory is preprogrammed with the Small Computer Monitor, BASIC, and a CP/M loader. This is all in the first bank, leaving three more banks of 32k bytes for other software. Jumpers are provided to select the FLASH bank allowing easy selection of up to four sets of firmware. Alternatively, the jumpers allow the FLASH bank to be controlled in software making all 128k bytes available.
The kit contains everything you need to build the card, except solder, tools, and cleaning materials. To use the completed card you require a backplane (eg. SC501), a power/reset card (eg. SC502), a Z80 CPU card (eg. SC518), a serial card (eg. SC511), a USB to serial adapter (5-volt power and 5-volt signals), a computer, and a terminal program, such as Tera Term.
To run CP/M you will need a mass storage card, such as SC504 (Compact Flash card interface).
