The TFPITOT01 is a lightweight and compact pitot tube solution designed for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). It integrates the Sensirion SDP33 differential pressure sensor, eliminating the need for external tubing and reducing common issues like temperature drift and sensor offset. Its rain-resistant construction ensures reliable airspeed measurements even in challenging environmental conditions.
Traditional low-cost pitot sensors require complex external tubing, which introduces reliability issues, weight concerns, and risks of clogging or leaks. The TFPITOT01 solves these problems by integrating the sensor directly into the Pitot tube, providing plug-and-play airspeed measurement with high precision and stability. It is fully compatible with PX4 and Ardupilot, making it an excellent choice for UAV developers and drone users.
The TFPITOT01 must be installed parallel to the airflow for accurate readings. It can be mounted using:
To prevent moisture ingress, ensure the electronics and I2C cable are properly sealed. The sensor should only be exposed to the atmosphere at the front intake holes.
You may need to purchase additional I2C cables separately. We offer high-quality cables that are compatible with the Pixhawk standard and with a ThunderFly color scheme for easy signal type identification. ThunderFly cables are specifically designed with improved resistance to electromagnetic interference and a silicone insulator that makes them highly flexible.
In applications where multiple TFPITOT01 are needed, the TFI2CADT01 module could be used. That allows the connection of up to six airspeed sensors to a single I2C port.

With the TFPITOT01, you get accurate, robust, and plug-and-play airspeed measurement without the complexities of traditional pitot tube setups.
