Whilst you can buy adaptors with a fixed configuration this adaptor kit allows building up any mix of plug/sockets and A/micro/USB-C adaptor by just plugging them together.

The kit contains the following connector boards and pin headers.

Of the 6 pins on the connector boards two are used for 5V and two for ground to help reduce voltage drop when using higher currents.

You can also use them as breakout boards giving access to 5V, USB D+/N-, inject or isolate 5V, tap to measure current, etc. by using your own 2.54mm pitch connectors.

The NEW USB-C adapters have jumpers to select either 10k pull-up (DFP - Downstream-facing port supplying power) capable of 3A max or 5.1k pull-down (UFP - upstream-facing device) on the CC1/CC2 pins (both jumpers should be set to the same position for normal use). It also breaks out VBUS, SBUS1, SBUS2, CC1, CC2 and GND pins to a 6-pin header which allows other resistor values to be connected to the CC pins, check the voltages on the CC pins and also access the other pins on the USB2 USB-C connector.
