Great upgrade to PS4 controllers.

So nice to be able to use USB-C to charge all my things!
As long as you're comfortable taking things apart then the kit is easy to use and instructions easy to follow. Just unscrewing and unplugging things, with a bit of sanding the case away for the bigger port. No advanced techniques needed.

Since the micro usb did not work properly, this usb-c upgrade really made a difference. Now I can use the controller again and the usb-c interface really makes it easier.

Taking the controller apart was the hardest thing about this

Found this product via a Reddit thread about PS4 controller modifications without sodering. Thank's for the tool to detect the right board via the browser.
Taking the controller itself apart was the difficult task and after expanding the hole for the new port it was just plug and play.
Works like a charm on my PS4 and PC with no problems and I finally got rid of this stupid micro USB port which became more and more unreliable. Now it's a solid, sturdy connection.
The shipment was very fast and I'm overall completly satisfied with the outcome. Top product!

Works as intended

I swapped my original charg port with the new usb C one, charging and connectivity work perfectly. The only issue, which is minor, is that the colour of the LEDs differs from the factory charge port.

just to be safe!

bought alongside the type c port and this made installing it way easier. definitely recommend getting this just to be sure you dont accidentally damage the standard cable.

This PCB is an excellent quality product. It fits well after some filing of a controller, as shown in Marius' video, and works just as expected. However, I have one suggestion—I don't know if it's for Marius or the Lectronz shop—please add some tracked shipping methods. It's just not right when you pay 10 EUR for the board and 5 EUR for shipping and just pray all gods it won't get lost somewhere on the way.

Installed the board after reworking a bit the pad's plastic shell, and working fine! Thanks for that boards. For others buyers: beware to select the right board model, there are plenty to choose from, you need to dismantle the pad before to buy, the version number was under the bottom on mine.

I only wish I'd been more patient and careful while modding the controller housing. It came out looking just a bit rough, but now my DS4 can be reliably powered over USB once again.

Awesome product! Completely changed my experience with the DS4 Controller.

I've had my two JDS-001 DS4 controllers ever since I bought my PS4 more than 10 years ago. I still use these controllers to play on both the PS4 and, more recently, on PC. However, I was starting to get a bit frustrated with the quality of the connectivity of the micro-USB connector.
I decided to give this mod a shot and can confirm that it has completely revived my controllers; the connection is now flawless. The controllers still connect perfectly through Bluetooth, but the USB-C connection is much better than the old micro-USB (as expected). The light bar is also working fine. It ended up being a fun little project to tinker with the controllers :)
I suppose the only thing that worried me was the fact that there was no way to track the shipping. It took a bit long to arrive (I'm based in Europe), but everything went smoothly in the end, so I have no complaints about that either.
