To connect a HeishaMon PCB to the heatpump you need a cable. If you are replacing the original internet module (CZ-TAW1) you don't need to order a cable as you can use that cable to connect the HeishaMon. In all other case you need order a cable. From the HeishaMon product page you can order this cable as an option. This product page will allow you to order a cable seperate. This cable is the same as the one from the heishamon shop. Is it sold seperately for those who need a new cable or forgot to order a cable with heishamon.

There are two types of cables:

• CN-CNMODE which is a 4 wire cable providing data and power and connects to the 4-pin CN-NMODE port on the heatpump. It provides read and write commands from heishamon. You most use this cable with the small version heishamon if you want to install the heishamon together with the original internet module (CZ-TAW1) and then run heishamon in listen only mode. And this cable works fine with the large module also. This CN-NMODE can NOT be used between the large heishamon and CZ-TAW1 (proxy port). You must use the original cable or the CN-CNT cable for that.
• CN-CNT which is a 5 wire cable which matches the original CZ-TAW1 cable and connects to the CN-CNT port on the heatpump. There is no added value in using this cable for connecting heishamon to the heatpump. The CN-NMODE cable and the CN-CNT cable both provides the same functions and data from the heatpump. However, as the 5th pin in this cable provides 12V power it might be used in a future update of the heishamon board where this 12V is used for providing more power. But you MUST use this cable (or the original) to connect CZ-TAW1 to the large heishamon proxy port.

In summary:

• The CN-CNMODE (4-wire) is suitable for most heishamon setups, which also allows the small heishamon to run alongside the CZ-TAW1 in listen-only mode
• Use CN-CNT (5-wire) if you need to connect the original CZ-TAW1 module to the large heishamon proxy port if you can't use the original supplied CZ-TAW1 cable or if you want to be prepared for future heishamon hardware updates which require the 12V power provided by the extra wire.

Different lengths are available which allow you to place the heishamon where you like. The heishamon board needs a wifi connection so make sure to buy a cable long enough to reach decent wifi connection or extend your wifi with a wifi access point near to heishamon.
