SCART RGB A/V Dongle

The SCART RGB A/V dongle provides RGB video and audio output directly to any SCART-compatible display. It connects to the PICO9918 via the FFC connector available on v1.2+ boards.

The SCART dongle will be automatically detected by your PICO9918 and a clean output RGB PAL 576i @ 50Hz signal (by default).

Compatibility

The SCART RGB A/V dongle is fully compatible with all FFC-equipped PICO9918 boards:

• PICO9918 PRO v2.0
• PICO9918 v1.3
• PICO9918 v1.2

Note: Requires PICO9918 firmware v1.2.0 or newer to operate

Connection

The dongle connects via your existing 12-pin 0.5mm pitch FFC cable, so doesn't include an FFC cable by default. FFC cables are available as an option.

Additionally, the SCART output is provided via a 10-pin DIN connector compatible with the SEGA Saturn SCART cable (not included)

Audio Wiring

The dongle has two audio wires that need to be connected to the host system's mainboard to pass audio through to the SCART output. The wire and header is included.
