This listing is for a single (1 pcs) SK68xx mini-E - Addressable RGB LED

This component is intended as an addon option for building mechanical keyboards. Both SK68xx mini-E type RGB's are fully interchangeable and fit all the keyboards offered.

SK6803 Mini-E is primarily intended for per-key adressable RGB, where the RGB is shining directly at the user. Low poer consumption and great color is the benefit.

SK6812 Mini-E is primarily intended for indirect light, like underglow where you direct the light either down or through the side inside a chassis , using acrylic as an diffuser. Here the extra brightness is an advantage.

For keyboards that use teo LED chains and a physical switch to select the active chain (RefleXion X65 etc) you can easily use both types in the different chains. It is however NOT advisable to mix them in the same chain!

SK6812 mini-E

More power hungry, and eye-searing brightness available for the true RGB enthusiast! This is ideal for 5V operation, and more or less needs a level shifter for use with an RP2040.

SK6803 mini-E

Less power neeeded, and better colors at low brightness, a better choice for discrete RGB! This is much better for 3.3V operation, and can work with an RP2040 without a level shifter, although using one is recommended to reduce power consumption.

Please Note! When ordering RGB LED's for building a keyboard kit, its advisable to order a few (1-2 pcs) extra's as RGB's are easyo to overheat and damage when soldering, especially if you are a beginner.

Normal handling time is 3-5 working days (Predominantly done on weekends). Build items usually take 1-2 weeks.

All packages are represented to the courier/customs at their true value, and all responsibility for import fees and taxes resulting thereof lies with the buyer. DDP is applied where available.

Please note that when selecting a shipping option clearly marked as ‘uninsured’ or without tracking, you accept the responsibility for packages lost in transit.

All items are sold with a 24-month limited warranty, as per (2011/83/EU). Shipping of items returned for repair or replacement is solely the responsibility of the buyer. (This includes taxes and/or customs fees resulting from incorrect/incomplete shipping documentation.)

The SE "Act on Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts" (SFS 2005:59) & The EU "The Distance Selling Directive" (97/7/EC) allow returns initiated within 14 days of receiving the item. Shipping of returned items is solely the responsibility of the buyer.

Please note that in the case of kits with multiple components, warranty to the individual components cannot be applied to the resulting build, and does not cover physical damage from incorrect soldering or handling by the end user. Please test active components (controllers) and initiate a warranty claim for manufacturing defects BEFORE you start to solder them!
