Skinny Chameleon - Resin Case

Features

This is a 3D printed (SLA) resin case in Matt White with a satin finish. It is lightly sanded to remove printing artifacts and smooth out the edges. Being a printed, hand finished product it will undoubtedly have minor variances in the surface and small blemishes, but no major imperfections. Please be aware that this is NOT a 100% uniform finish like a CNC machined or sandblast finished case.

It is printed from a slightly modified OLKB Hi-Pro case design, and is meant to fit mainly the Skinny Chameleon & BLE Chameleon (reset/boot buttons), but will also fit an original OLKB Preonic or Plank PCB. It can use an original Hi-Pro Alumium front plate, or the gloss white FR4 plate that can be purchased as an extra option.

The choice in making the case matt white makes it a good neutral color that produces good printing results without color variations, and with a decent light bleed if you decide to use the RGB Glow of the Skinny Chameleon. It's also well suitable to the BLE Chameleon, being a non-metalic case, and as such not interfering with the signal. (In this case you should ideally NOT use an aluminium top plate).

• Medium UV-stable, to avoid yellowing over time, it would need to be coated in a fully UV protective clear-coating.

Optional add-on:

• Front Plate in Gloss White
• FR4 material with no copper layer (Making this plate suitable for wireless PCB's).
• Break-away part for (4x12) Planck layout. (Delivered sized to fit the choosen case type/size).

Please note that having a plate is highly recommended with socketed switches. Without one, switches tend to wobble, and/or get dislodged from normal use. You can obviously source another plate in a material or color more to your liking, but going plate-less is not recommended.

Normal handling time is 3-5 working days (Predominantly done on weekends). Build items usually take 1-2 weeks.

All packages are represented to the courier/customs at their true value, and all responsibility for import fees and taxes resulting thereof lies with the buyer. DDP is applied where available.

Please note that when selecting a shipping option clearly marked as ‘uninsured’ or without tracking, you accept the responsibility for packages lost in transit.

All items are sold with a 24-month limited warranty, as per (2011/83/EU). Shipping of items returned for repair or replacement is solely the responsibility of the buyer. (This includes taxes and/or customs fees resulting from incorrect/incomplete shipping documentation.)

The SE "Act on Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts" (SFS 2005:59) & The EU "The Distance Selling Directive" (97/7/EC) allow returns initiated within 14 days of receiving the item. Shipping of returned items is solely the responsibility of the buyer.

Please note that in the case of kits with multiple components, warranty to the individual components cannot be applied to the resulting build, and does not cover physical damage from incorrect soldering or handling by the end user. Please test active components (controllers) and initiate a warranty claim for manufacturing defects BEFORE you start to solder them!
