Original Design
This product was designed by 8BitFlux.com. By buying this product your support original hardware creators.

Enjoy short circuit protection, indicated by the red LED. The (protected) voltage can be selected using a jumper (+5V or +3.3V). It can be powered by the mini USB (Power) connector, or this connector can be used as a breakout in your experiments. The +3.3V is regulated on the board itself. Switch to a custom supply when the +12V and -12V rails are needed as well (these are unprotected voltages).

It provides a clear separation of input (at the bottom) and output (at the top). Handy for (low-voltage) TTL, Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266 and LVCMOS experiments. Also for vintage computer experiments where an 8-bit bus is involved. Two parts are always ready to use: a button and a LED (with resistor).

All signals of the extension interface can be bridged using jumpers. For example: the four high-nibble input-bits can be tied to the output when they are not used on the breadboard. Super Breadboards can be chained vertically to do larger experiments.

Optionally, an 8-bit Workbench™ can be attached at the top. With this you have an annotated 8-bits binary LED display. It talks hexadecimal and octal. A clicky Digitast action-button provides a properly debounced signal for use with microprocessors. With it you can further learn about logic and see how number systems work. For binary data-input, a Binary Keyboard can be attached at the bottom. This provides a joyfull toggle experience for 8-bit data input.

Extend and combine this Super Breadboard with our other kits to learn and do (vintage) computer experiments. Visit our store to get more information on those products. A discount is applied when you order a combination of these kits that connect together.

Two more products are in the development pipeline: a Hex Keyboard and a Terrific Timer (a highly versatile 555-timer board).
