Only problem I had was I got the s-video cable wired the wrong way and that was because the first pin-out picture I found from internet was wrong. The youtube installation videos were really helpful. I am very happy with the image quality.

5/5 Stars – The cleanest solution for vintage Commodore ROMs!
I bought these to burn replacement ROMs for my C64, VIC-20, and 1541 disk drive. While 28-to-24 pin adapter PCBs are an option, the programmable Neat 2364 ROMs from The Retro Channel are a far better alternative. They are much easier to use, fit directly without clearance issues, and look a million times cleaner on the board. This was actually my second order, these replacement ROMs have already helped me fix up and restore a couple of older Commodores. Shipping was quick as well, arriving in just a few days. Highly recommended for anyone restoring or repairing classic 8-bit hardware that needs 24 pin roms!

Easy install for improved Atari 2600 AV output

I purchased the TIARA v2 to install onto a NTSC 2600jr 3-chip, the board is marked NTSC v2.2.
The installation was fast and easy: snip R31, solder the board under the TIA, choose a AV connector, enjoy. I went for a TSSR of the OMTP variety just because I had a cable laying around (probably should have chosen the more common CTIA pinout).
I also added a flying SVideo connector (still need to decide how to get it on the case).
The quality is definitely better than the std RF, so told a ghost image is visible on both composite and SVideo, specifically on SVideo the very first column of pixels on the left side is clearly a different color, many dark objects (like the tree trunks of Pitfall) have a ghost vertical line to the right, and after the last column of displayed pixels one can see a ghost image too, the composite output softens these artifacts but they are still visible.
This was seen when directly connected to a Vizio 27” TV SVideo and composite inputs and to a 45” Samsung HDMI (no AV input on this TV) via RetroTink 5x fw 3.98 and PixelMorph2K both SVideo and composite, on all cases SVideo due to its improved clarity makes artifacts more obvious.
It is possible this is how the TIA in the 2600jr emits the colors, not sure, note that to make the TIARA v2 work with the Tink5x I had to close the C.BST jumper (the Morph2K was fine either way) and to make SVideo look better I closed the S.FIL jumper (it softens the image a bit and so those artifacts too).
It’s a marked improvement from RF, but not 100% sure it is on par with UAV (I have no way to test that, I am not purchasing a UAV to try).
Of note on the Vizio TV I can see jailbars on both Composite and SVideo but on the Samsung via either Tink5x or PixelMorph2K I don’t, no idea what’s going on with the Vizio.

Fast shipping and easy installation

I installed this in an NTSC C2600A and had very few issues with installation. I had one pin that wasn't making good contact, which just needed a little more solder reflow, but be sure to check continuity between the chip's pin and the corresponding pad on the TIARA. Also watch the "New and improved Atari 2600 S-Video and composite mod - TIARA V2" YouTube video for a few hints, such as expected shorted pins for NTSC models.
I haven't fully wired up the s-video connector yet, but did a quick test using composite on a LCD TV and it looks amazing. It is basically how I (falsely) remember it looks back in the day!

Perfect Video Output for a VIC-20

Installation was easy, for someone with moderate soldering skills it should be a breeze. Documentation is easy to follow. If you haven't done this, you should. It's amazing what the original VIC produces when it has proper outputs.

95% Perfect

I installed the RFOFF (with Luma bypass option) in my NTSC Commodore 128, connected to a 27" Trinitron CRT. From the excellent before/after video, I wasn't expecting perfect video output, but realize that there will still be jailbars and adjust your expectations.

That said, they are much less noticeable even on the worst case BASIC 7.0 startup screen and I don't think most people would notice them in actual usage. The installation instructions were a little lacking, but they basically boil down to "desolder and remove the old RF unit and solder in this one". Maybe a short real-time video showing the process would help.

Shipping was amazingly fast. It was out of Australia and into the United States in 2 days...and then sat in Chicago for almost a week!

All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. It was fun to take apart my C128 which had always just worked (unlike coughcoughc64breadbin) and improve it with this worthwhile upgrade, and highly recommend it to any C128 owner.
