The AMYA500Z2 is a Zorro II Professional Side Expansion Card designed for the Amiga 500 Classic and Plus. It enables you to use Zorro II cards originally intended for the Amiga 1500/2000/2500/2500UX/3000/4000 on your Amiga 500 (and Plus). This versatile adapter supports a wide range of peripherals, including HDD controllers, memory expansions, and graphics cards.

Two versions of the AMYA500Z2 are available:

1.Standard Version: Includes the essential components for connecting a Zorro 2 board to the Amiga 500 (and Plus) power supply.

2.Full Version: Equipped with all the necessary components to use an external ATX power supply (not included) for powering the Zorro 2 board. The switch between the Amiga power supply and the ATX power supply is automatic—simply turn on your Amiga, and the ATX PSU will follow suit if it was previously in standby mode. An LED indicator shows the status of the ATX power supply: RED for standby and BLUE for active. Both versions feature a terminal block that provides all available voltages for other connected equipment. Note that the +3.3V voltage is only accessible when using an ATX power supply (specifically for the Full version).

What sets this card apart from similar devices online are its additional features:

** Reinforced Power Tracks: Extra tin plating ensures robust power distribution.

** ATX Status LED: Available on the Full version, indicating the ATX power supply status.

** Support Feet: These prevent the card from hanging in suspension, preventing strain on the expansion slot and the Amiga’s PCB.
