General input module, 10 inputs on WAGOs, ESP32, Ethernet and optional PoE
What it is
An Ethernet connected general purpose I/O board.
There are lots of IoT devices, buttons and sensors, which work on batteries. But when you realise you have hundreds of them and the battery lasts a year you work out you are changing a battery every other day.
A powered I/O device is way better in the long term. This module can be USB-C or PoE powered, and work on WiFi or Ethernet. Easy to integrate with Home Assistant.
There are two versions - one it just inputs, 10 of them, and one is 5 inputs and 5 outputs.
These are designed to work with contact sensors, buttons, and so on, not mains power.

- ESP32-S3-MINI-1-N4-R2 Dual 240MHz CPU, 4M Flash, 2M SPI RAM
- USB-C for power and debug
- KSZ8851SNL SPI 10/100 Ethernet
- Optional Ag9912-LP PoE module for power
- White resin case
- Either 10 WAGO inputs, or 5 WAGO inputs and 5 WAGO outputs
- A WS2812 LED by each input/output WAGO to show status
- 1 status WS2812 LED
- Inputs have pull ups to supply power (12V for PoE, 5V for USB) to work with a simple dry contact button/sensor
- Outputs are opto-isolated solid state relays max 60V / 2.5A
The default software integrates with Home Assistant over MQTT.
