PN Labs started on a sailboat. In university we built a fully autonomous 1.5 m boat designed to cross the Atlantic unassisted. Ethan led the electrical systems and Nick led the mechanical design. In the middle of an ocean nobody can reset a tripped supply or replace a burnt regulator, and we kept solving the same power problems over and over. We saw every hardware developer hits them too.

So, we turned those circuits into modules. Protect boards guard a rail against overvoltage, overcurrent and reverse connection. Power Pal and NanoBuck make clean regulated rails. Battery Pal handles USB-C charging, regulated output, cell protection and fuel gauging on one board.

What makes us different: Ethan took battery-powered consumer electronics from concept to mass production, with more than 100,000 of his PCBAs shipped inside products and now engineers humanoid robots. Nick did battery R&D at Tesla and published lithium-ion research with the Jeff Dahn Research Group. Every module is designed and individually tested in Montreal, and each one has full specifications, a dimensioned drawing and setup notes.
